Cynological CV Dawn Redman
Dawn is an approved ANKC championship show judge for the Hound and Non Sporting groups and has been judging since 1990.
Dawn’s introduction to the Rhodesian Ridgeback breed began in the late nineteen sixties when her parents purchased the families first Rhodesian Ridgeback. Together with her mother (Sylvia Corker) she has bred RR’s under the “Shelridge” Kennel prefix. The kennel produced its first litter of RR’s in 1984. RR’s bred or owned have enjoyed numerous accolades at speciality and championship show level incorporating multiple: BIS, RUBIS, RUBISS, Royal BOB, RR club point-score and club RR of the year awards. Shelridge RR’s have also ventured into the obedience, endurance and tracking disciplines obtaining various titles proving them-selves to be versatile as well as worthy competitors. Many “Shelridge” RR’s can be viewed on the pedigree of many a top winning Rhodesian Ridgeback both here in Australia and overseas.
Breed involvement also extends to active participation at breed club level. Dawn is a founding committee member of the RRCV Inc, past president and committee member of the RRCSA Inc, founding president of the RRA Inc and is currently president of National Rhodesian Ridgeback Council of Australia. Dawn has also presented breed lectures to trainee judges on various occasions.

ALL BREED JUDGING APPOINTMENTS
Has judged the Hound and Non-sporting groups at numerous championship shows throughout Australia, (New South Wales, South Australia, Victoria and Queensland). Adjudicated as judge at Hound of the year state finals. Judged breed club open shows for Dalmatians, Afghan Hounds, Deerhounds, Whippets, Basset Hounds and Salukis.
Dawn has also been involved with Salukis having bred or owned champion, grand champion, BIS, BISS and RUBISS breed representatives. Currently along with Rhodesian Ridgebacks she breeds and exhibits Newfoundlands, although having only been associated with Newfoundland for a short period of time , she has to date enjoyed many memorable wins including BISS, Multi Royal Show BOB, Royal RBIG/Class In Show and numerous championship group and show awards. Other breeds Dawn has owned and exhibited successfully over the years include: mini smooth Dachshund, Chow Chow, Finnish Spitz, Afghan Hounds, Whippet, Shetland Sheepdogs, Giant Schnauzer, German Shepherds and Basset Hounds.
